The application will show a black image when

• Selected Visualizer is switched off
  Solution: Turn the desired Visualizer on

• Selected Visualizer is in an in-compatible mode, e.g. Digital Zoom mode
  Solution: De-activate the in-compatible mode (or switch the desired Visualizer off and on again to perform the power-on preset)

• Selected Visualizer is disconnected
  Solution: Re-connect the desired Visualizer on the USB-port and restart your capture application

• Communication error occurred with the selected Visualizer
  Solution: Disconnect and re-connect the desired Visualizer on the USB-port and restart your capture application

The application will show a corrupted image. One or more of the following reasons might apply

• Aspect ratio of picture was changed while video capture was running
  Solution: Undo the change or restart your capture application

• The selected Visualizer was changed while video capture was running
  Solution: Undo the change or restart your capture application

• The selected device is in the View mode (Show All)
  Solution: Disable the View mode (Show all)

Your Visualizer isn't listed on the drivers property page for selection. This might be caused by a previously occurred error in the USB communication with the respective Visualizer.

   Solution: Disconnect and re-connect the desired Visualizer on the USB-port and restart your capture application

   Your Visualizer maybe not supported, use the built-in UVC interface of the Visualizer instead.

You can use the video capture driver for getting a video stream from a Visualizer but you can't open the drivers property page. (Only applies to 64 bit operating systems)

• This is because the version of your capture application doesn't match with the driver/OS version. It's not possible to open the property page of a 64 bit driver on a 64 bit operating system if the used capture application is a 32 bit version.
  Solution: Try to get a 64 bit version of your capture application and use this version for capturing
